Sunday School Dads Build the Sukkah

Frank Bond, Lloyd Chain, and Randy Spiwak with David Lilly, a carpenter friend of Stephen Horowitz. Sometime during the summer Stephen Horowitz had offered to build a sukkah for the temple. Randy and Lloyd agreed to help and somewhere along the line recruited Frank Bond. Arrangements were made for the weekend of September 20th. True to their word, the men were out there bright and early Saturday morning. We are very grateful for their handiwork in the hot sun to make the temple this beautiful sukkah (it even contains a bench!). The Sunday school children have been preparing to decorate the sukkah and invite everyone to join them Sunday, October 12th. The children will begin decorating the sukkah at 9:00am and a Sukkot service will take place at 11:00 am. Refreshments will be served.

We need your palm fronds!

Here is a shot of the almost completed Sukkah. As you can see we still need the required palm fronds to cover the roof. Please come out and bring your clippings on Sunday.
